Well im heading down that road again on this old circus train there's nothing but the darkness that remains my pockets lined with the gold teeth of those i've left behind their nothing but a memory in my mind but on the road out here life it ain't so bad as the train rolls thru the mountains past the water and the land gone away We're passing round that and them ol throwing knives deadly sharp weapons and an ol colt 45 fire breather snuffs out that flame with her detachable head traveling carnival of the living dead but on the road out here life it sure is swell as the train rolls down the tracks swear you could hear the hounds of hell ya on the road out here life it sure is swell as the train rolls down the tracks swear you could hear the hounds of hell gone away. Were coming to your small town nothing no law can do We'll be drinking pot liquor made out of them boys in blue ya on the road again on this old circus train nothing but the darkness that remains

Well ever since i was young seems I was born to be a sinner my family had to cheat and steal just to try to keep a dinner but ill never forget what my father told me the day I turned 7 he said son you may get your chance but I know im not going to heaven and he'd say God forgive me for the sins of my father forgive my mother she know not what she do and all though it ain't probably gonna do me no good I say god forgive me for the sinning that im about to do Now if you fast forward thru life about 15 years to find an eager young boy with the sweetest of desires standing in front of me ya she pulled me in real close and she whispered to me and she said God forgive me for the sins of my mother forgive my father he know not what he do and although it ain't probably gonna do me no good I said god forgive me for the sinning that im about to do Now our story end's the night I was leaving town for a show when a man pushed me in the corner said you got nowhere to go well he must not have seen the scars on my arms or the blood stains on my hands so as I lay out that first punch I heard these words again and I heard God forgive me for the sins of my father forgive my mother she know not what she do and although it ain't probably gonna do me no good I say god forgive me ya god forgive me for the sinning that im about to do

I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time yes I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time Well you can blame it on fate or some other plan or you can blame it all on this bottle in my hand but I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time every since I was young headed down a bad road no father in my life to show me where to go whiskey and drugs to ease my mind hiding out from the cops for another petty crime cus they always seem to come at the wrong time Ya like a bird In a cage I always needed to be free my home was the road or any place I would see I had people stop by, try to save me in the night id take the bed and the warmth but be gone before light cus they always seem to come at the wrong time well you can blame it on fate or some other plan or you can blame it all on this bottle in my hand but I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time Well there once was a girl who would stand by my side thru the booze and the drugs as I came drifting with the tide ya she planned on a life somewhere out in the green I guess she saw something in me I wasn't ready to see cus they always seem to come at the wrong time well you can call it to fate or some other plan or you can call it the life of a rambling man but I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time ya and here I lay down with this bottle by my side ive got nowhere to go got nowhere to hide and ill always meet the right people at the wrong time yes ill always meet the right people at the wrong time ya...

Don't go in the woods tonight its bound to take your life there are monsters waiting out there their waiting in the shadows their waiting for a bite the only thing that will protect you is the light Keep your lights on I said keep your lights on its the only way to protect you from the night they came into our small town on a cold winters day said to the townspeople we've come here to prey their waiting in the shadows with their razor sharp teeth when the lights go down in this town its their time to feast Keep your lights on I said keep your lights on its the only thing that will protect you from the night keep your lights on I said keep your lights on its the only way to protect you from the night Under a pale moon that's slowly fading away you hear a voice whisper "we're glad you came out to play" your light is fading fast there's nothing you can do sometimes its not fun to know the darkness is watching you Keep your lights on I said keep your lights on if you travel in the woods tonight keep your lights on I said keep your lights on its the only thing that will protect you from the night.

Another night closing in a strange little town all the booths are boarded up and the lights are turned down the families run home all safe and sound except for the few we have buried in the ground and its here I sit in the funhouse of mirrors staring at the demons I used to fear there ain't a preacher man that can save my soul tonight in the fiery deep is where im living alright and if you pay 5 cents you can see a peep show of a living dead girl that nobody knows she'll hypnotize you with her moves and her scandalizing eyes but with a knife behind her back you wont make it out alive and its hear I sit in the funhouse of mirrors staring at the demons I used to fear there ain't a preacher man can save my soul tonight in the fiery deep is where im living alright in the middle of the night better watch your head for a traveling carnival of the living dead killings the only way of life that they'll ever know just don't get caught under the tent of the creepy sideshow. and its here I sit in the funhouse of mirrors staring at the demons I used to fear there ain't a preacher man can save my soul tonight in the fiery deep is where im living alright (repeat chorus)
