Sometimes it feels the reason I ain't found
a place to lay my head in this ol town
is that deep down I was meant
for bigger things in my life
so I waited till the time came round
loaded up my ride, to head out of this town
jumped on I70
looking for some light
So put the pedal onto the floor
I don't care where we head just make it past my front door
need to find a salvation I ain't seen in awhile
well I don't know where ill end or do I know how far
I can make it in this old beat up car
I just want to find a highway
where there's no cops for miles
no cops for miles
We'll make a living off of busking our ass
on the sidewalks where the people pass
just like in Wesland
listen to our music
and give us all your cash
different town every night
new city new stars
Just don't ask me to play wagon wheel
when I come into your bar
on the road I don't feel alone
I feel free
so put the pedal onto the floor
I don't care where we head
just make it past my front door
need to find a salvation
I ain't seen in awhile
well I don't know where i'll end
or do I know how far
I can make it in this old beat up car
I just want to find a place
where there's no cops for miles
NO COPS FOR MILES

Well I ain't got no soul for sale or rent
all my moneys gone on better time's I've spent
so I sit alone in the old graveyard
waiting for the sun to shine again on my heart
dreaming of boxcars on old junk trains
everytime I close my eyes I see your face
waiting for you to come and take me away in that van
on the road with you is where my life began
now the tracks they run on down the road for miles
past the old river, where we would rest for awhile
we planned a life ya somewhere out in the stars
but a life can change just with the start of a car

What your about to watch is a nightmare
coming at you with red glowing eyes
what your about to see is a nightmare
so step on up and hope you make it out alive
Welcome to the fairgrounds of our carnival
the only traveling graveyard show
we arrive in by train
in the middle of the night
and disappear before anybody knows
before anybody knows
You'll see a darker side of mystic wonders
our serpent girl she really packs a bite
as the fire breather shoots flames
so high into the sky
get away if you wanna stay alive
if you wanna stay alive
Welcome to the Stolen stitches sideshow
their all here ALIVE inside
Now what horrors wait for you inside the sideshow
the strange and unusual are all alive inside
well here Is a knife
there is a gun
there will be fun for everyone
cus death is on the menu tonight
and what your about to watch is a nightmare
coming at you with red glowing eyes
what your about to see is a nightmare
so step on up and hope you make it out alive
cus tonight your gonna die
yes step on up and hope you make it out alive

Well im a knife thrower
in the traveling circus
and that means that i might kill you
as you spin on the wheel
as it goes round and round
and the knives go by your head without a sound
well my daddy was a carnie
and his daddy was a killer
that's where i learned my evil trade
in the carnival from hell
you will fall under our spell
if you hear a midnight train just run away
well it was late one evening
we started to head out
taking over that first passing train (passing train)
we arrived in the graveyard in the middle of the night
to take out anybody that remained
so if you see us traveling into your little small town
you'd better run away and be scared (be scared)
cus our monsters are real
we're all warped and twisted
we're the kind of folks you find in your nightmares
I said if you see us traveling into your little small town
you'd better run away and be scared (be scared)
cus our monsters are real
were all warped and twisted
were the kind of folks you find in your nightmares

Excuse me lad
i didn't mean to startle you
You say you like this park
well i run this place i do
now you've seen it all from the coasters to the cars
well step inside my ride
its called laughing in the dark
now come see the lights of the carousel
see the coasters way up high
but all it takes is one thin dime
for the surprise of your life
All sorts of spooky things inside this old creepshow
just watch out for the clown that the folks call ZEEBO
there's all sorts of monsters waiting inside this old dark ride
vampires in their coffins make you jump a mile high
just around the corner
the dragon shoots flames into the sky
one more room to go
then your in for a surprise
and its 1...2...3
pick the right door and you'll go free
4...5...6...and 7
pick the wrong door get a trip to heaven
ha ha ha
stuck inside the round room
nothing left to lose
one door unlocks your freedom
which one will you choose
and its the most FUN in the park
ha ha
when your laughing in the dark
ha ha
its the most fun in the park
when your laughing in the dark

It's late in the evening
i should be ready for bed
but thoughts of us together
are racing thru my head
im filled with desire
nothing more that i can say
except that god is out on business today
now your probably wondering what your doing here
drawn in by desire
from that whisper in your ear
il wrap my arms around you tight
we wont stop till the morning light
you have no reason to fear
cus only the sinners
are allowed in here
Cus god is out on business today
We're out in the woods
far away from it all
out here in the dark where there's no one you can call
cus god is out on business today.

All aboard
02:52
|

Well im heading down that road again
on this old circus train
there's nothing but the darkness
that remains
my pockets lined with the gold teeth
of those i've left behind
their nothing but a memory in my mind
but on the road out here life it ain't so bad
as the train rolls thru the mountains
past the water and the land
gone away
We're passing round that
and them ol throwing knives
deadly sharp weapons and an ol colt 45
fire breather snuffs out that flame
with her detachable head
traveling carnival of the living dead
but on the road out here life it sure is swell
as the train rolls down the tracks
swear you could hear the hounds of hell
ya on the road out here life it sure is swell
as the train rolls down the tracks swear you could hear the hounds of hell
gone away.
Were coming to your small town
nothing no law can do
We'll be drinking pot liquor made out of them boys in blue
ya on the road again
on this old circus train
nothing but the darkness that remains

Are you going to scarborough fair
i wouldn't go cus there's danger out there
but if you find yourself in the town of scarborough
you might not make it out alive
cus the monsters
all live there
in the little town that the people share
they don't wait for the darkness
they walk out in broad day light
and the people that all live there
they say that they are not scared
cus they all have pretty children and the children are insane
so run away
run away
if you wanna stay
run away run away
if you wanna stay
run away run away
if you wanna stay
run away run away
if you wanna stay alive
there's a guillotine they use for fun
and a tree where all the dolls are hung
by the kids who run around
in their masks made of human skin
and you don't go into the basement
cus
NOBODY GOES IN THE BASEMENT
just ignore the screams you
heard coming from under the floor
and
run away run away
if you wanna stay
run away run away
if you wanna stay
run away run away
if you wanna stay
run away run away
if you wanna stay alive
its a creepy little small town
and if your still hanging around
you might be invited to
the towns annual
roast
they'll put you in a big ol chair
so you can see the whole fair
just know he wasn't talking about bread
when he tells you that your toast
run away
run away
if you wanna stay
run away
run away
if you wanna stay
run away
run away
if you wanna stay
run away
run away
if you wanna stay alive

Well ever since i was young
seems I was born to be a sinner
my family had to cheat and steal
just to try to keep a dinner
but ill never forget what my father told me
the day I turned 7
he said son you may get your chance
but I know im not going to heaven
and he'd say
God forgive me
for the sins of my father
forgive my mother she know not what she do
and all though it ain't probably gonna do me no good
I say
god forgive me for the sinning that im about to do
Now if you fast forward thru life about 15 years
to find an eager young boy
with the sweetest of desires
standing in front of me
ya she pulled me in real close
and she whispered to me and she said
God forgive me for the sins of my mother
forgive my father he know not what he do
and although it ain't probably gonna do me no good
I said god forgive me for the sinning that im about to do
Now our story end's the night
I was leaving town for a show
when a man pushed me in the corner
said you got nowhere to go
well he must not have seen the scars on my arms
or the blood stains on my hands
so as I lay out that first punch
I heard these words again
and I heard
God forgive me for the sins of my father
forgive my mother
she know not what she do
and although it ain't probably gonna do me no good
I say
god forgive me
ya
god forgive me for the sinning
that im about to do

Right people, wrong time
03:38
|
|||
I always seem to meet the right people
at the wrong time
yes I always seem to meet the right people
at the wrong time
Well you can blame it on fate
or some other plan
or you can blame it all
on this bottle in my hand
but I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time
every since I was young
headed down a bad road
no father in my life
to show me where to go
whiskey and drugs to ease
my mind
hiding out from the cops
for another petty crime
cus they always seem to come at the wrong time
Ya like a bird In a cage
I always needed to be free
my home was the road or any place I would see
I had people stop by, try to save me in the night
id take the bed and the warmth but be gone before light
cus they always seem to come at the wrong time
well you can blame it on fate or some other plan
or you can blame it all on this bottle in my hand
but I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time
Well there once was a girl who would stand by my side
thru the booze and the drugs
as I came drifting with the tide
ya she planned on a life somewhere out in the green
I guess she saw something in me
I wasn't ready to see
cus they always seem to come at the wrong time
well you can call it to fate or some other plan
or you can call it the life of a rambling man
but I always seem to meet the right people at the wrong time
ya and here I lay down with this bottle by my side
ive got nowhere to go got nowhere to hide
and ill always meet the right people at the wrong time
yes ill always meet the right people at the wrong time
ya...

Devil doll
02:44
|
|||
You are pity
and desire
one match struck up higher
than the candles hanging above my bed
every time I try to get away
you come back in cus you wanna play
ya your a black hole that I keep getting stuck in
and ill lock all the doors
when I hear your siren call
light all the candles before the night has fallen
in the darkness it seems
you'll be haunting my dreams
I can not escape you
cus your my little devil doll
Your whiskey in a tea cup
give brunettes a lousy name
you don't care who your hurting
cus its all just part of your game
you stab em with the knife
rip the skin down to the bone
then you drink the blood of your victims
like it was an ice cream cone
now I can not escape you
no matter how hard I try
so ill close my eyes again
as you kiss me goodnight
and ill lock all the doors
when I hear your siren call
light all the candles before the night has fallen
in the darkness it seems
you'll be haunting my dreams
I can not escape you
cus your my little devil doll
my little devil doll
(repeat chorus)

Don't go in the woods tonight
its bound to take your life
there are monsters waiting out there
their waiting in the shadows
their waiting for a bite
the only thing that will protect you is the light
Keep your lights on
I said keep your lights on
its the only way to protect you from the night
they came into our small town
on a cold winters day
said to the townspeople
we've come here to prey
their waiting in the shadows
with their razor sharp teeth
when the lights go down in this town
its their time to feast
Keep your lights on
I said keep your lights on
its the only thing that will protect you from the night
keep your lights on
I said keep your lights on
its the only way to protect you from the night
Under a pale moon
that's slowly fading away
you hear a voice whisper
"we're glad you came out to play"
your light is fading fast
there's nothing you can do
sometimes its not fun to know
the darkness is watching you
Keep your lights on
I said keep your lights on
if you travel in the woods tonight
keep your lights on
I said keep your lights on
its the only thing that will protect you from the night.

Another night closing in a strange little town
all the booths are boarded up and the lights are turned down
the families run home all safe and sound
except for the few we have buried in the ground
and its here I sit in the funhouse of mirrors
staring at the demons I used to fear
there ain't a preacher man that can save my soul tonight
in the fiery deep is where im living alright
and if you pay 5 cents you can see a peep show
of a living dead girl that nobody knows
she'll hypnotize you with her moves and her scandalizing eyes
but with a knife behind her back
you wont make it out alive
and its hear I sit in the funhouse of mirrors
staring at the demons I used to fear
there ain't a preacher man can save my soul tonight
in the fiery deep
is where im living alright
in the middle of the night better watch your head
for a traveling carnival
of the living dead
killings the only way of life
that they'll ever know
just don't get caught under the tent
of the creepy sideshow.
and its here I sit in the funhouse of mirrors
staring at the demons I used to fear
there ain't a preacher man can save my soul tonight
in the fiery deep is where im living alright
(repeat chorus)

Come on in fine sir
sit on down
looks like you could use a drink
you look as if you've stumbled out of the woods
leaving behind your car
what luck you found me out this way
but you know im never really too far
so come on in and settle down
take off your shoes and hang around
you might be here for awhile
for there's no souls around for miles
in this creepy
little
one
horse town
because
God is out on business today
Had a meeting with the devil is what I was told to say
but don't worry sir
I can help you here
just remember in the end you've got nothing to fear
cus God is out on business today
Now your probably wondering
what your doing here
or why those blood stains on your hands wont disappear
its because the night you took out that knife
and decided to end another's life
you wound up in my town
trying to disappear
but
God is out on business today
and there's no river around here to wash your sins away
just you and me in a run down bar
with locks on the doors you wont get too far
cus god is out on business today
Now your probably wondering
who exactly I am
or how I knew about the knife you were holding in your hand
or how I knew about the car you wrecked out in the woods
well son you see your life
it was
no good
and it seems
pretty obvious
who I am
don't you think
wouldn't you say
that
GOD IS OUT ON BUISNESS TODAY
HE LEFT ME IN CHARGE TO PUT YOUR SOUL AWAY
SO FINISH YOUR WHISKEY
FINISH YOUR BEER
WE'RE GOING DOWN TO WHERE THE ANGELS FEAR
CUS GOD IS OUT ON BUISNESS TODAY.
